Do you have a wood fire oven in your backyard but have yet to perfect the perfect pizza? This class is here to help!

Leah Scurto, award winning chef and member of the United States Pizza Team, will be back in the Wind & Rye Kitchen to teach you everything you need to know to create the perfect pie! We will cover best practices for starting and maintaining your fire, oven maintenance, and temperature control. Next we will move to the most important component: the dough. Different ovens and cooking techniques require different dough and flour. Leah will share all her tips and tricks for not only wood fire ovens but also smaller back yard options like the popular Ooni ovens. Students will cover long and short fermented doughs, how to use a kitchen scale to get exact measurements and the best flours and yeasts needed to create the desired texture. Next you’ll move on to the sauce and toppings. You will receive recipes and ideas for creative, seasonal toppings that will keep pizza night exciting and fresh for the best pies of the summer.

As always, drinks and dinner are included (pizza of course)
