The concept of fire cider reaches back centuries but was officially named and perfected by famed herbalist Rosemary Gladstar in the 1970s. A combination of spicy and pungent herbs soaked in vinegar, fire cider is a valuable tonic that belongs in every medicine cabinet during cold season. But boosting the immune system is not all its good for! Come learn about how to use this invaluable traditional brew in your every day cooking and even cocktails.
Perhaps a bit more widely known, elderberry syrup has been proven to shorten the length of cold and flu symptoms as well as work effectively to prevent illness. Don’t keep this bottle hidden away either! We’ll talk about how to make it a part of your daily routine by drizzling on pancakes or ice cream.
In this class we will learn from Meredith Brown, an incredible local Nutritional Therapist with a Masters Degree in education. She will not only discuss the countless benefits of fire cider and elderberry syrup as traditional immune boosters and home remedies but empower us to make these tonics ourselves!
Each student will go home with a half gallon jar of fire cider, two 8oz bottles of elderberry syrup, healthy lung dried tea and liquid healthy lung tincture.
