Gourmet Vegan Cooking

Join us for an evening dedicated to vegan cuisine in the Wind & Rye Kitchen.
Chef Daniel Kedan of Backyard Restaurant in Forestville will be here to lead this hands on class focused on healthful and delicious ways to eat a vegan diet. We will discuss the importance of including nutrient dense fats, fruits, grains and vegetables into every meal. From appetizers to sauces, entrees to desserts we will introduce new flavor pairings, spices and cooking techniques to add rich depth of flavor to any vegan dish you prepare. As always, we will feature some of our favorite local organic farms in Sonoma County and discuss resources for buying high quality ingredients for your home. Each student will receive recipes and menu ideas to take home along with samples of some of the items prepared in class. We will collectively prepare dinner for that evening and enjoy it together at the end of class.
