Colleen Solis

Colleen Bingham Solis is devoted to a life defined by what we find growing in the soil and fueled by synthesizing these organic compounds into accessible healing potions for humans. She uses traditional and scientific herbalism to transform herbs and raw plant nutrients into therapeutic compounds and she teaches others how to do the same.

 In 2010, with a passion for the environment and all natural products, Colleen made her first batch of organic skin care products. She signed up for her first herbal studies course and began her journey as a product formulator and herbalist.  

 Today, Colleen is a Certified Herbalist, Director of Education & Innovation at Dr. Morse’s Healing Herbs and Western Botanicals. Known for her expertise as an herbal product developer of topical and internal health and wellness products, Colleen serves as a consultant for cosmetic companies nationwide. Colleen founded Herb Nerd online school offering courses in herbal and natural product development and Poppy Botanicals herbal skin elixirs. 

A natural teacher, and self-described “lifelong free spirited, nature loving geek,” Colleen empowers her students to discover what specific plants resonate with them and how they can become part of everyday self-care practices. Colleen has a knack for making concepts clear to understand and accessible to all types of learners and infuses each class with the joy she finds in her work.
